壁面の赤いランプは日本の国旗「日の丸」に模しているかのよう。この写真の意図は、建物が建設物であるように、国民国家というイデオロギーが建設物であることのメタファーを構成している。

 

The red lamp on the side of a wall resembles the red spot on a white background that symbolizes the rising sun of the Japanese 'Hino Maru' national flag. A flag is the ultimate symbol of a country. My intention with this photo is to create a metaphor for the ideas of a nation-state being a construct, just as a building is a construct.
